To fulfill the mission of neighbors helping neighbors, South Plains Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up Board of Directors created a community grant program to better help local non-profit organizations.

Thanks to contributions made by Cooperative members, Operation Round Up awarded $24,000 in grants to 19 local non-profit organizations.

A recipient of an Operation Round Up Community Grant, Kingdom Come Ministries, is a mobile church seeking to transform families and resurrect communities. Through their mobile food pantry, Kingdom Come Ministries provides food boxes to struggling families in the community.

The grant money received by Kingdom Come Ministries helped expand their deliveries to all parts of the city in order to make a greater impact. Kingdom Come Ministries was also able to stay on the streets during the pandemic and help everyone who needed it when other service organizations shut down.
