Ag/Timber Registrations
Members who have a Texas Agricultural and Timber Exemption Registration Number (Ag/Timber Number), we need your Texas Agriculture or Timber Registration Number on the official Texas Agricultural Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate. A certificate is required for every different business name, partnership, etc., that is listed as an electric account. Click here for more information from the Texas Comptroller.
To help make it easy, there are several ways to get a copy of your completed, updated form to us:

Scan and email it to scoe@SPEC.coop.

Mail it to P.O. Box 1830, Lubbock, Texas 79408.

Drop it by any local service office.

Fax it to 806.775.7851.
If we don’t have your Texas Agricultural Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate on file, we will bill tax on your account. You will be able to go back to the Texas Comptroller’s office for a refund, but we will not be able to give you a refund.
Reminder: All current certificates will expire in 2027.
